KLR parts South America
Anyone able to comment on availability of sprockets for KLR650 bikes south of Eucuador?

Yeh, buy them long before you need them if you see them available. You've already bypassed Colombia, which is the best place for such things (IMHO). If you find parts available in Ecuador, do it now: what's to lose? You've already spent enough time waiting for repairs. Take a hint and do it differently.
Otherwise, Mendoza (maybe) and B.A. (probably). Peru has surprisingly good parts availability, although I sure didn't need any sprockets there. Conceivably Santiago. But don't count on anything, anywhere, no matter what you hear. Mark |
I have some!
I live in central Peru (Huanuco) and own 2 KLRs in my fleet of Moto Adventure Tour bikes, so I have parts on hand. Plus I can get anything else out of Lima (to save you from having to go there!).:nono:
