I had no problem entering Peru with my bike, leaving without it for two weeks, and then returning. The bike's not stamped into my passport and there doesn't seem to be a computerised, centralised system.

After a six mounth trip around South America I left my bike in Lima and left by air without a problem.
Well exept the problem I have now wanting to finish my trip after I left the bike in Peru for 2 years [This message has been edited by MillsRoadsurfer (edited 26 August 2004).] |
just left our bikes there.
on entry at copacabana (bolivia border) there was no computer system. so leaving peru was no problem at all. good luck |
Just left via the Tacna to Arica border without the bike. No computers on the Peru side but they had them on the Chile side and they were linked to the telephone lines.
Thanks all for replying rob |
