Mail drop in South America - SAE Club
 

I just dropped by the South American Explorers club in Quito, and found out something interesting - if you join for $50 one of the benefits you get, aside from a place to hang and route into, is a place to mail stuff. I asked if we could mail tires, and the lady here said yes. So if you want to preposition parts or other equipment - say warm weather clothing - in Quito, Lima, Cuzco (or Ithaca New York ??) you can mail it to yourself there. Good news since American Express and the embassies won't do this anymore.
