Mexico - Full Coverage Insurance /Registration docs
 

Hi-

I'm a US citizen planning on heading down to Mexico for a few weeks. Does anyone know if you can take a financed bike over the border without too many problems? Specifically:

1) Will the state vehicle registration document suffice in place of a title?

2) Since the vehicle is financed, is there anyway to obtain full coverage (that is, comprehensive) insurance.

Two years ago, I went to Mexico on a KLR650 that I owned outright. In that case, I bought Sanborn's libability insurance. If I recall, Sanborn's does not offer full coverage.
