motorbike paperwork
Im in mexico at the moment and I hope to continue south through central and south america. I bought my bike in california about 6 weeks ago and left before the ownership document was issued. I entered mexico using the temperary document I was issued on the day I registered myself as the new owner.
The ownership document has since been issued and sent to an adress in mexico city. Its been about 2 or 3 weeks and there is still no sign of it and Ive moved on. does anyone know if it is possible to use the temperary document I used to get into mexico for the rest of my trip. It states its valid for 1 year but it doesnt look very official. thanks for your help david |
I took a trip from the USA to Panama with a guy who had only a photocopy of his title. He did get there, but had to beg, plead, and in at least one case bribe, his way through the borders. I wouldn´t do it again, but be your own judge. The real answer is, it depends on the mood of the border officials on that day. Not much help, huh?
