New year's eve in Ushuaia?
 

We, Peter and I, just arrived in Ushuaia and are wondering if there are any other overlanders in Ushuaia that feel like getting together tomorrow for new years eve. We heard of a yearly meeting on a campsite in Ushuaia but do not know which campsite. Does anyone have some info for us? Cheers! ;)

Last year it was at the campsite at the old ski lift on the mountain above the city, but there were reports of it being closed. The other campsite closed its gates to tenters (and therefore to bikers and cyclists over a year ago, so it will be interesting to see if anything takes its place. Maybe the parking lot down at the waterfront or the municipal campground next to the train station a few km west of the city

People used to meet on the campsite in the Lapataia national park, it is a few years since I was there but you could buy a monthly ticket which included use of the basic campsite next to the river and close to the famous sign at the end of ruta 3.
