Peru - Canyon del Plato questions
 

Hello all,

I am currently traveling on PE-3N and headed south towards Caraz.

We been told that Canon del Plato is a very cool place and that theres a dirt road that is roughly 40km long that is breathtaking.

Problem is, the research I have done shows that the canyon rides from near the coast, all the way to Caraz along the Santa river, a long stretch.

I would like to know exactly where is the section of dirt road in there that In these photos below? Edit:sorry cant get photos to load

I am hoping they are closed to PE-3N than Chimbote on the coast because I am not really wanting to head towards the coast right now.

It is CANYON DEL PATO... which is why you are probably not finding any info on it!

Use this police station as reference.. COMISARIA CHUQUICARA...(google.. if you are to go from Chimbote to Canyon del Pato on national road number 12 towards N3 or oposite...:thumbup1:

Hello guyz, I was without internet for a while. We did ride the Canyon (canon in spanish) but it was all paved from the Tablachaca river(Chuquicara) all the way to Caraz. We did not find the dirt road we were looking for but a great ride nontheless.

Hm??...Canon Ok ...but which one ? Obviosly some other, not del pato.
