Puerto Carreno, Colombia
 

Anybody went from Bogota to Puerto Carreno and continued from there to Venezuela on road 12 towards Ciudad Bolivar and continued to Boa Vista Brazil?
How is the road scenic wise and can the bike be processed paper wise on the Colombia/Venezuela border? looking on the map it is unpaved most of it?
Like to use this road in October this year!

The road is on dirt (mostly sticky red clay) from Puerto Gaitán.

October is rainy season in Colombia. For that date, Bajo de la Culebra (snake’s pond) would be one meter deep on center and 45 km long, and it is about 200 km before Puerto Carreño.

The landscape is just prairie with some forested strips, beautiful though without major changes. Little resources, not worth trying it.

January-February or July-August….., it is a different story I would like to repeat.
