renting a flat for couple of weeks in BAs?
Hi, we will get to Buenos Aires sometime in November.
By then we would have few repairs to do on our bikes and we plan to stay about 2 weeks. We would like to rent a flat for that period, obviously with safe parking for our 2 bikes. Can someone recommend a place? Would be great! Thanks, |
my father owns a nice flat / send you a PM
2 bedrooms,TV,phone,nice kitchen,air conditioning, safe parking place.

Maria!
Glad to hear you two have made it to Argentina- congrats! I stayed in BsAs for 6 weeks weeks in a place I found by doing a google search. Something like: Buenos Aires apartment rental. If I were you I'd go through KH(BCK_973), great guy who knows asado! Enjoy BA, I sure did. Hook.

Hi,
have you been in the Salar and Alti Plano yet? Good luck... Now: there are various agencies that rent flats by the week. I shared one with a friend for 2 months, it was 100 US per semana, o.k. The first agency addresses were from the footprint book, but the Google ones are cheaper and better. Safe parking you can get in every Barrio, there are Safe guarded Parc decks all over the city... But for your repairs I strongly recommend that you contact Yavier from Dakar Motors... Its a little farther away from the city, but he can help you as he did support us... Have fun in the Salar. Bytargentina...
Maria,
Have a look here, Buenos Aires apartments for rent, Buenos Aires hotels, host families, travel Argentina I used them last January for a 3 week rental, and other riders we met in BsAs Sandy and Dale from Advrider booked through them too. Ask when booking about parking for bikes. All of us very pleased and would definately recommend them! English website, big choice of apts all over town, staff punctual and helpful. Good luck Charlie |
Hi guys thanks for the response. I´m in talks with KH (BCK_973) who kindly offered to rent us his dad´s flat and I´m totally trusting the lad and going for his flat!
Hook yes we made it (briefly ) to argentina! We are now in Brazil, slowly going down again to Argy! Rasmus, yes I already contacted Javier, as I have a long list of stuff to do on my bike and I will be happy to shove the Beast to a trusted MC Mechanics for some loving repairs! We went to the Salar and spent an unforgetable night camping near Isla Pescado! One of the highlights of our trip! I had that image in my head of our campsite and the bikes in the salar for so many years!!! It was incredible to finally be there! We spent time in the altiplano but got out of Bolivia by Tupiza and Villazon, I just could not do the exit by San Pedro de atacama, my bike is just too heavy, too tall, too much luggage, and I´m simply just not up to that sort of challenge anymore! SO we took the (slightly !) easier option! No regret as we did a tour in a 4X4 to the lagunas! I can hear the die hard off-road crew scream but hey!!! I´m still doing more that 99.99% people would ever get to in their life time! Ha yes and I will get Javier to lower my bike a bit! That should help a lot ! |
Maria flat is ready
Hi yesterday Hemish and Emma started to use it too, they are hopefully pleased with it.Bike is inside and safe.

Yes the bike is recovered and also the papers! Very lucky! I just went to BMW this morning and it seems they should be able to repair all within a couple of days. So we should be in BAs in schedule! Obviously we are very happy. I have not had time to check any photos of your flat but I trust you! I am sure it will be fine! I let you know of our progress by email. Thanks, |
Karl, you have saved the day !!!!
