Road Condition Bolivia- Corumba (Brasil) to Santa Cruz (Bolivia) Highway 4?
 

Hi people!

I am thinking of crossing into Bolivia from Corumba in Brasil to Santa Cruz on highway 4. Can someone let me know the road condition? Is it ashfalt? How long a ride is it?

I will probably ride on to Cochabamba so would love info on that road as well.

Did the Corumba- Santa Cruz over a year ago and was all good asphalt/concrete except a 48 km stretch just after San Jose de C which was not finished. When dry ok, in the rain not so much...Have heard it still is not finished but cant tell you that out of first hand!

I'm in Corumba at the moment just about to do a Pantanal tour but will be heading for Santa Cruz Friday 21st. If you haven't set off by then maybe have a beer Thursday night. Ride safe.

Thanks Mike. At this stage I am just planning which route to take out of Brazil. I am currently in Praia do Pipa near Natal and wont be in that area until late Oct.
