Route from Medoza to Ushuaia??
 

Hi,
I round the world on F650GS and it´s been 1 year and 5 months after I
ship the bike from Sydney,Australia to L.A,USA.
I´m at Buenos Aires now without bike as my bike got serviced at Mendoza.

What is the best route from Mendoza to Ushuaia?
I´m planning to start 25th,Oct,then like to be in Ushuaia around Mid-December.

I´d like to go lake district and Chiloe Island then ferry to Argentina,then gravel route 40 to Ushuaia. I feel like to be in Argentina more than Chile as it´s very expensive country.

Please,let me know the detail point to point route
or any advice.

Don't miss the Carretera Austral in the south of Chile, it's one of the highlights of South-America. Puerto Puyuhiapi, Coyhaique, Cochrane, even the round-trip further south if you can, then back to Argentina...

It's beautiful, much better than Ruta 40, and not very expensive either. The south of Chile is cheaper than the north, you can sleep in hospedajes everywhere.

Try to take the small roads that cross the Andes as often as you can, they're all beautiful... but watch out the weather.
