How about US$8000 for the rig, all included (GPS, GIVI bags, tools, spare parts, and more). Anyone interested just make us and offer, we need to sell by mid August.

hey martinef
I don't think you can sell an american plated here in BR. Well I've been told so.
Either brand new or 30+ years
Anyways good luck!

If a Brasilian buys the rig can use the bike to sell it as spare parts and the sidecar separate. The rig can be bought by a foreigner with no problem.
Price dropped US$5000

Martinef,

Make sure customs have no way to check if you came into Brazil with a motorcycle when you will leave that country. Otherwise, you'll risk having to pay full import taxes on the motorcycle.

I overstayed in Brazil and I had to pay two fines: One for me and one for the motorcycle. I don't remember the amounts per day overstayed. I had to pay a portion of the import tax for the motorcycle.

Another idea would be to leave Brazil properly. Enter Paraguay from Cuidade Del Este (there was no checkpoint back then) and sell the bike there.

Good luck,
Patrick

I already left the country, currently in the US, and had no problems. When I got into Brasil they did not do paperwork for the bike. This is why I am selling here!!!!

I will be back in Brasil in August just to sell the bike and coming back to the US by plane, the bike has to be sold by August 10th.

PRICE DROPED $3500 (around Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo)
