Selling a bike in Paraguay?
I notice from some old 2005 threads that Paraguay did not do any paperwork for foreign registered bikes crossing into the country.
Presumably, a bike can then be stored indefinately in the country. This is what I have been looking for. Can anyone confirm that it is still the case currently? If so, I am in the market for a bike in Paraguay. Anyone needing to sell a bike in SA, please contact me. |
yep
This is still true at least when i went through the Iguazu border i got my passport stamped and they told me i did not need papers for my bike
I also know a guy north paraguay who lives there and knows a bike shop Im selling my bike but not for another 5 months cheers |
Paraguay Aduana
I've been to Paraguay twice in the last 12 months. Both times I got customs papers for my bike.

We are planning on buying a bike in Ecuador and selling it in Paraguay. As I understand this is possible, but the buyer wil have to pay 30% import tax.
It will be a cheap chinese bike. -Is it still possible to sell foreign motors in Paraguay? -How is the value of the motorcycle (and tax) determined? Do they look at your bill? Or do they do an estimation? -Is it possible to sell the bike in the grey circuit? This to divide the tax. |
