selling bike in Bolivia
Hey there,
I have a question about selling my bike. First to say: I read a lot on the HUBB, but still have the question :helpsmilie: Long story to short: I had an accident with my bike in Bolivia. And now I do not feel comfortable any more riding ahead. Bike is fine, just I am not So we are in La Paz now (we are two riders, my boyfriend and I) and want to sell one, or maybe both, bikes. The KLR 650 is already advertised for sale on the forum. Does anybody know how it would be to sell the bike to a Boliviano? We already got a few interested ones. What would be neccesary to sell it to a Boliviano? Does have anybody done the same? Questions over Questions, I am sorry. But if you know something we would be verrrry happy greetings from la Paz |
Due to a high level of corruption, anything is possible in Bolivia, this is just a question of network. If the buyer knows somebody in the customs administration, he will be able to nationalize the vehicule.
Be aware tho that you signed a paper while entering Bolivia specifying that you would not sell your vehicule in the country, so passing the border will certainly be complicated for you for the next few years. |
