Shipping bike from South Africa to South America
 

Hi, any advice on shipping my bike from South Africa to South America? It will be from Cape Town. Doesn't matter to which city and country in South America. I want to take the best and cheapest option and then plan my South American trip from there. Thanks! Jean

I'd talk to Duncan from African Overlanders (based in Cape Town), who has a supersolid track record of shipping overland vehicles.
My own motorcycle is currently somewhere on the Atlantic cruising from Cape Town to Montevideo. If I understand correctly Uruguay is more easy custom/paperwork-wise compared to Argentina and Brazil when shipping by sea to SA. I didn't pick up the bike yet on the other side, but the process on the Duncan side was easy and transparent, would recommend.
