Shipping parts to Peru??
Hola!
Did anyone recently got stuff send to Peru?? Any problems with the expresscompany / Customs??? Werner +Claudia |
Hi W+C,
Apparently you are not allowed to send used parts to Peru and the package probably be delayed by customs whatever you do. Best of luck and congrats on the photo competition. Dunc. |
I shipped a box of parts (some used, some new, nothing high-dollar) to Lima last year.
USPS told me 6-10 days. Ended up being more like a month. The hold up happened on the Peruvian side, but I'm not sure if it was a customs issue or a carrier issue. Either way, the box arrived with everything still inside, no fines, fees or restrictions as far as I know. USPS was the cheapest by far, but dimensions mattered much more than domestic shipping. I believe it was $45 to ship to the medium-sized box, but if I had been a half inch bigger it would have been $90 to ship (or something like that, the memory is fuzzy). Check the weight and size limits before packing everything up. |
Hi!!
Ok..here's the story.... parts are in Lima. New parts, invoice.... all there. DHL and Customs are not happy with the invoice. Additional problem....2 rubbermounts more than the invoice states... 1. DHL is useless! I will never use them again! 2. We probabely get DHL to send it back to germany.. 3. Get the bikes down to Chile and try to source the part there... Any other ideas?? THX for any advice!! Werner+Claudia @Dunc :thanks!! |
