Temporary import of foreign bike to Chile
Hi there fellow travellers
Im now in Santiago Chile and my bike is coming to Valparaiso next week - shipped from Sydney Australia. Love this place but feel a bit lost when it comes to bureucrasy as I dont speak much spanish. Anyone who can advice me through what steps are needed to be done to get a temporary import and all that goes with it? (TIP, insurance, etc...) Or is it better to use an agent - and do anyone has anyone to recommend? Thanks in advance. |
Seems pretty straightforward at least at the borders where they never asked about insurance, filled out one paper , got a stamp and off I went, several times.
