Hi guys. I have a royal Enfield with colombian plate and I bought it in Bolivia with a carta poder. Now I'm in argentina, just saw the permit of my motorbike and thay gave me 8 months without asking. Now I was think to leave the bike for a while here in south America and come back here next year. Argentina could be an option but can you confirm that Uruguay will give me 1 year? Do I have to ask it at the border or is automatic?
Thank you very much

P. S. I JUST SAW THE PICTURE OF AN OTHER PERMIT THAT THEY GAVE ME IN THE CHILE CICO BORDER FEW WEEKS AGO AND THEY GAVE ME 8 MONTHS ALSO THERE

Expired TIP in Argentina

I have an expired TIP because of Covid. But now it’s been expired since Oct 2020. When I inquired some 2 years ago I was told not to worry, they were lenient because of Covid. Now when I inquired they say I’ve taken too long since it’s 2 years. Real BS. Anyway if you have any suggestions on how I can get my back out of Argentina without it being confiscated I would be appreciative. I was planning on maybe crossing at Iguacu. I could use some advice. Thanks

I was in a great biker’s hostel called Casa Matte in Santiago, Chile

I had my bike flown out there and rode it away but there were people leaving bikes there to come back again and restart their journeys.

Christian, who runs Casa Matte could certainly advise you on what can and can’t be done in Chile.

Good luck
