I'm glad to hear that you are going on your trip. I am now in Panama city (Around a mote of dust trip) and am going to Toronto for a few weeks and then Xmas and NYE in Mexico (Durango) with my girlfriend. If you are passing through Durango from Copper canyona before January 7, give me a shout, we could meet up, though I will be without my steed (in Panama).
Otherwise, maybe we'll meet in South America.

I have been invited at the last minute to join friends in San Filipe for NYE, so there is a chance that I will be following your route down to central mexico (via ferry at la paz).
