tires in Arequipa/Peru

Again! I need new tires for my KLE 500 either in Arequipca or in Lima. Can anybody recommend a shop in either and tell me what is available / prices?

Thanks,

Karl

Hi Karl

There's a community in Lima; why not try them?

Regards, Mick

Not much in Arequipa...I'm there at the moment, but there's a Zona Franca in Tacna thats worth a try.

Loads of places in Lima.

I{m there too (Home sweet Home in Rivero). Where are you staying? So far I have been offered a Pirelli front tire (125 S) and a taiwanese rear tire (200 S). Should I hould on till Lima? Is it difficult to find the shops?

Hold on until Lima if you can. Loads of bike shops there and much more choice.

Finding the shops is easy. Just get hold of a yellow pages for the addresses, the yellow pages in Arequipa have Lima businesses as well and its cheap to phone them.

I'm staying in Aurora. Drop me an email if you'd like to meet up for a beer or ten.

Too late for beer, Im leaving tomorrow (up north). I should have enough tire left till Lima, so I just hold on. I might try the Dessert Sport Racing place, recommended in this site. I could have gotten a Taiwanese rear and a Pirelli front tire, so I decided to wait till Lima.
Thanks for the recommendation,

Karl
