Ushuaia - December 2012
Anyone else planning to go to Ushuaia on Dec. 21st 2012 to watch the end of the world in the end of the world itself? :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2:
I started to plan this trip after read Patrick's page. I'm planning to do this trip on my GN125. The route right now is: Uberlandia (my hometown) - Chuy - Punta del Este - Colonia - Gualeguaychú (to avoid the ferry boat) - Mar del Plata - Ushuaia (December 20th until 23rd) - El Calafate - (Ruta 40) - Bariloche - Paso Antonio Samoré - Osorno - San Pedro de Atacama - Paso de Jama - Puerto Iguazú - Uberlândia Leaving Dec. 1st 2012 and arriving back at Jan 30th 2013. |
Interoceanic Trip
Hello,
Sorry to go off-topic on your thread. I am considering a trip on the Interoceanic highway in late April, and I read one of your other posts about going from Sao Paulo all the way to Lima. I am probably going to rent a vehicle (maybe 4x4, maybe motorbike). Do you think I could do this journey in a week or is that not realistic? Also, I see the bridge at Puerto Moldanado is not finished. Is the detour very difficult? Will the roads be affected by rain(ier) season in late April? Thank you Rob |

The information about the bridge you have is wrong. The bridge is already open to traffic since July 2011, and the route between SP and Lima is 100% paved, so you don't need to worry about the rain season. :thumbup1: |
OK
Hi, I am planning to be there at the end of the year for Christmas and New Year.
