Using a UK Car driving license for biking round SA

Does anyone know if it is possible to ride a motorbike in South America on a UK car license, mainly Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru?

I cant find any information on it, but a few posts have suggested that UK driving license restrictions dont apply to motorbikes in south america, but is this assuming that it is a UK motorbike license rather than a car one.

Thanks

You would be very unwise to do so, although it is possible as they do not check that section. If you have a prang down here,a very strong possibility, you will be in jail quick smart

I think if you get a International Driver License will do the trick.

You will still need a bike licence, if it all goes pear shaped, you will be in big strife trust me
