Wild Camping
 

Hi,
Does anyone have some recent experience of wild camping in South America in particular Colombia and Ecuador, or is it generally recommended to stay in hostels? Thank you :)

In Ecuador, most cities there will be a hostel with a designated camping area for a small fee. Check out Mindo, Quilotoa, Tena, Pasachoa...they all have hostels with campsites
I dont think it's a good idea to pitch a tent in someone's field without asking
