Can you get medical insurance in countries the FO says don't
Sorry if you've seen this post on a different branch (but I'm trying to maximise my chances of a helpful reply)
I'm off to South Algeria, and North Niger - both areas the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (UK) advise against all travel to. Does anyone know of any companies that definitely will cover a UK citizen for regular medical events like broken bones etc. in these countries? cheers Nik |
Hi there. Check out www.worldnomads.com. They're an Australian company who say they cover you for practically everything everywhere - and you don't have to live in Australia to get their insurance. I haven't taken insurance with them (yet), but they were at a travel show at Olympia in London this weekend and seemed pretty legit. Good luck...
