Grumpy Old Gits on the Road
There are more and more of us, even the insurance companies are recognising that we are living longer but trying to get "backpacker" type travel insurance for long overseas moto trips is becoming next to impossible. My Doc says I am fit to travel by moto, physically at least as she doubts my sanity for wanting to do it and this present trip I'm on will leave me uncovered for the last 2 months as when you are 69+, you can only be guaranteed to survive for a maximum of 6 months without breathing British air. (allegedly) So my question is, has anyone got any info on the sort of insurance we need and remember, this is a situation that most Hubbers will want to be in. Perhaps a spokesman for travel insurance companies at Donnington '14 might be an idea. Ride safe
