Having a local do it once a months is not going to damage your budget !!
I got an awesome hair cut in Brazil for £2. The kid used a rasor blade like a surgeon uses a knife !! I paid him double as I was so impressed. It all adds to your experience being away. :thumbup1: A battery/mains philishave is handy for the face and also has clippers on the side too. |

Yeah,
Im for supporting and meeting the locals - saves carrying shaving gear and barbers tend to know everyone in town for accom, food, mechanics, parts, tyres etc etc. last time I was in barber shop in Syria (2001) I got a haircut, shave, light snack and a coffee for 0.50c US |
I keep a short beard, but not much hair on top so crop it myself.
When a way i have the local barbers do the biz, never had a problem before, remember in Muslim country's having a beard shows age and knowledge (yes i know can be doubtful at times) |
Buy scissors locally, thus supporting local economy. Then cut your own.
This man does. |
