Hep A & B Vaccination
I have had 2 of the 3 injections for hep A & B. The 3rd is scheduled to be 21 days AFTER the 1st one, at which point I'll be somewhere in Mexico. Is it possible to get the 3rd shot somewhere in Mexico? Do I need to plan it with a Mexican health clinic before I go?

I don't know what part of Mexico you are visiting, but I got vaccinated for Hep A & B in Veracruz. I started with a local clinic and got sent to a hospital, a place that must be similar to the CDC in Atlanta, and finally to an infectious disease clinic. So, yes it can be done, but it took me all day. Of course my spanish is pretty lousy, so if you speak the lingo, I'm sure you could do better. They told me their hep vaccination was only one shot. They were suprised to hear that our (USA) tetanus shots are a one shot deal, where theirs are a series. So be prepared for some differences in treatments.

Hmmm, I've had 2 shots already, and I'm told there is a 3rd. I believe it is called "twinrex", or something similar. Doc said I was "mostly covered" without the 3rd vaccination, but some people need all 3 to be safe. I am going to attempt to find the same drug, so we'll see. Wish me luck!
