Insurance

This is my first post. My wife and I are moving to Peru within the next month. We want to take our motorcycle. Can anyone recommend an insurance company that will cover us and the motorcycle while in Peru please? We will be there at least three years. Thank you.

Are you going to register it in Peru and get a local drivers license, or keep the existing registration and foreign license. Overlanders have no problems getting the mandatory liability insurance from either Mapfre or La Positiva (i think it is) and I got 12 months last time but could have got from 30 days upwards, but of course your situation is quite different since you obviouly have different visas and so treatment of your vehicle will be different too.

BTW Might pay to have a look at the list of forums in the main index and pick a forum that matches your post. This one is for medical and health aspects of traveling.

It will be registered there with diplomatic plates. I am not a social media guy, as you can probably tell, so I am sorry for posting this in an incorrect forum. Your information is quite helpful though, so thank you for your help Tony.
