Medical Kits with needles?
 

I am considereing buy a medical kit that contains sterile needles and syringes. Seems a good idea for out of the way places.. but it also strikes me that customs people finding them might decide it makes me a reasonable suspect for illicit drug use.

If anyone has any experience to the contrary and can allay my paranoia - it would be most gratefully recieved.

i'd say you are being more than paranoid. even uniformed officionados aren't that daft.

taking sterile needles is a good idea.

Carrying needles is standard practice so don't worry about it. Even most drugs are Ok if they are in their standard packaging and found locally. Its just drugs 'not normally carried' which are questioned. Even then, if you have a doctors letter in 150 languages as explenation you're OK.
