vaccination in the USA
I found that Yellow Fever Vaccination Clinics | CDC Travelers' Health is not too bad as far as pricing but just by curiosity if any of you have better adresses I will be interested . I was thinking to do most of them for my RTW in Brasil ( cheap or free there ) but getting in line for hours is not my cup of tea ..

my vaccines
I'm prepping for my trip this fall while I still have health insurance from work.
I called my Insurance company and they gave me a list of Infectious Disease specialists. Though it took a couple of phone calls to find one that carried the Yellow Fever vaccine. Thankfully for me, Anthem seems to be one of only a few companies that covers Yellow Fever. Someone also sent me this link, TravelersVaccines.com, Learn About Vaccinations for Safe Global Travel Health. I didn't go through them though, so no info on pricing. -Cruise |
I did hear from people that they were having their Vaccinations done in Ecuador but I'm not sure where and how. I'm taking off in September and I will travel through Central Am. so I had it done here in US.
In Connecticut I visit the Uconn travel clinic and had 5 vaccinations done (Yellow Fever, Hep. A, Menigococcal, Polio and Typhoid) plus I need 2 more through my doctor, I have insurance through my work but I'm not sure how much they will cover, I guess I'll wait for the bill and take it from there lol Jerry |
Why not just Google "travellers clinic" along with the name of your hometown ..?

I thought about google but wanted to know if there are some other places where you can get vaccination for cheaper, in my city the clinic that offer yellow fever and other vaccin charge about $125 per shot , since I will be going to Africa and asia after I have a fairly long list , alomost worthit to fly to France to have them for free.
Hendi PS : many insurance do not cover these vaccination. |
