Angola invitation letter needed
 

hello fellow travellers,

we are in windhoek namibia and the angolan embassy told us that they need an invitation letter from Angola by fax.

I have no clue how to get one. Maybe somebody in Angola can help and send a fax down to here.

But we need it in the next few days, otherwise we cant get the visa in time - hey for them it is nearly x-mas and they close until 10.01.05

I will pay for the fax, buy you beer and tell you maybe a story from the roads I travelled in the last five years.

Hi Mika,
your Mail is already 9 days old and I dont know if you found a solution for your problem.
As far as the lonely planet states, you can obtain an angolan overland visa at the consulat in Oshakati next to the Namibian/ Angolan border. Could be that they are also in christmas mood there and it is already closed for the rest of the year.
Would be nice if you can send a short message if you were successful getting the visa. I will follow you on this route in January.

hello klaus, hello others,

we handed in the application on last thursday 09.12., passports, photos, forms and we wrote a letter ourself, explaining what we are doing.

some friends had promised to organise the invitiation letter from Angola, but until thursday we did not get one.

and thursday was the last day to hand in the documents to get the visa this year for us.

on monday we will go back and see if everything is all right and maybe pay the fee.

so wish us luck, hope to meet you on the road because we are also entering Angola beginning of Jan 2005.

Hi all,

so, we got our 30 days tourist visa on tuesday.

one invitation did come thru in the end, and a friend here helped as well.

a British friend was not that lucky, he had an invitation but did not get his visa.

maybe it is easier in Oshakathi in the consulate, I dont know.

I need help with Angola invitation
 

Hello Everyone,

I need your help here. I am going to Angola for business prospecting. I have applied for my visa, booked my ticket in expectation and reserved a hotel.

The Angolan embassy called me to provide an invitation letter from an individual and that the hotel confirmation of my reservation wasn't enough.

I've got till Monday July 2nd.
