Angola tourist visa
 

Hi All

Looking for the best place to obtain a 30 day tourist Visa for Angola.
Entering Angola from Namibia and returning to Namibia.

Any great camp spots or sightseeing also appreciated.

As visa rules change would really appreciate recent experiences.
or possible contact persons you know who have obtained Angola visa's in the last few months.

Hi,

I've been suggested to ask for help at FlamingoLodge, as of today i could not get any help yet, despite reserving a night there. . .not sure about what will happen but still . . . optimistic they will help!

Im coming from north directed to Namibia, probably at lodge on night of AUG 17th . . .we might meet there !

We are coming in from Namibia, have had contact with Flamingo lodge but they can't help with Visa. Told to try and get visa in Namibia.
We may pass each other around Aug 25?

Are you heading North as we are trying to get a Visa for Angola as well !
We are thinking about trying in Cape Town.

Cape Town embassy is your best bet I reckon, they seemed to be very straightforward and helpful there.

We did our visa there, but had a letter of invitation faxed from Luanda (from a friend who was working there at the time, and a word of warning: fax was VERY hard to find in Luanda - in the end I think he got it faxed through some famous luxury hotel's staff help). It was positive and got it within 5 days if I remember. That's a proper 30-day visa to look around of this little explored and little known country of Angola.

If this fails then opt for that 5 day transit visa which should be easier.
