Bike rental feedback
Hi, a friend and myself are all in for a 2 week vacation in South Africa:clap: and my research has lead me to this bike rental company -Motoberlin ( http://www.motoberlin.co.za/ ) .
My question is Has anybody used this company for a bike rental or used them for a tour. If used for a tour or just a bike rental , how where their bikes, where they well maintained, new, etc. Where they (people) good to work with. Did they nit pick and withhold some of your deposit ? Any and all info and opinions is very much appreciated Gary |
there's a guy renting good bikes in SA here, moto zulu ( motozulu at telkomsa.net ), perhaps you may contact him for the better deal

Bike hire / Moto Berlin
Moto Berlin is fine albeit you are limited to BMW. Newish bikes and they seem to be in good condition.
Thomas at Moto Zulu has Yamahas, mostly older XT & XTZ in good running condition. You may also have a look at my website as it's closely related Le Cap Motorcycle Hire |
For personal experience I can suggest BMW motorcycle tours and hire in South Africa - Karoo Biking
Motorbikes are well mantained, and Jurgen (the owner) is ready to find the way to meet all your requests. With my friends we rode its motorbikes during 20 days: 6000km, 3 motorbikes, 0 problems. There is one curious thing: look at the rates page of karoo and motoberlin... don't you think they are very similar? As I already noticed another case like this while I was looking for my motorbike, and for my experience, I suppose there's a network of motorbikes renter who collaborate. |
