Which border crossing from Tansania to Mozambique by car?
 

Hi there,

a befriended couple is driving from Daressalam to Mozambique, but they are uncertain which border crossing works best for them (German and SA citizen in a SA car).

Who has recently crossed this border from north to south - or has recent info - and can recommend if to cross into Moz at Namuiranga in the east or Negomano? Or elsewhere....

I think most would say to firmly avoid any crossing into Cabo Delgado province, which has serious security issues. So that strikes both your crossings. I haven't heard of people using the Mkwenda crossing, but that might be the best bet? Or you can go for Malawi and then into Moz, as most are doing now.
