Burkina Faso Visa Price
 

Just heard from the place we are staying in Bamako (they also run an expedition company) that they have heard that the price of Burkina Faso visas increases on the 1st July from 25000 CFA to a whopping 94000 CFA! And apparently that will be true wherever you get it (i.e. in the UK, at an embassy on the way or at the border).
Of course this is currently unsubtantiated and may just be a rumour but I wanted to give everyone a heads up asap.

^ Also heard of this, and the full visa price via the mebassies has def gone up (but to 94000cfa that seems a bit steep!)....but heard from a friend who went through just last week that its still 10000cfa for 7 day transit at the border. Hope this does stay the same.

I had the visa at the border (Sikasso) for 10000 CFA in Feb.

Will check on the 'visa d'entente' for WA next trip.

We got the news from someone coming into BF today (from Ghana) - will try and verify with the embassy here tomorrow

btw:If you want to get the Nigeria visa in Bamako pretend to be Scottish - it's cheaper!

We got visas (single entry short stay) yesterday at BF embassy in Dakar for 47.000 FCFA apiece. Multiple entry and longer durations cost more.

Can confirm this; crossed three days ago. Don't take the gamble and get your visa at the border like I did or you'll end up paying the full 94.000 CFA, instead of the 47.000 CFA at the embassy. Heard it's same-day service in Bamako. Ouch for my travelbudget.
