Congo ferry at Luozi in rainy season
 

Is the route from DRC to Congo, taking the ferry at Luozi, practible all year round in 4x4? Or will I have big problems in march/april because of rain?

Hi - Luozi way it's pretty intense but perfectly feasible in dry season by solo car... in wet season would recommend to be at least 2 cars, as you have to spend quite few hours far from any village and street base gets veryvery slippery. Alternatively you should be probably getting trough capitals where ferry used to be running !

I did this road a few years ago in Feb, and I can tell you it was wet. It took us 4 days to cross the DRC and it was raining the whole time. It is do able but slow going and we only saw 1 car in the 3 days as we approached Louzi from the north. Great scenery and if you are looking for an adventure then do it. I would do it again
