selling a car in West Africa
 

I'm planning to go to Togo by car and going back by plane.
Does somebody know which type of car that is good for travelling through the desert and easy to sell in West Africa? We are planning to go by 4x4.
I've already heard that a Nissan patrol and a Toyota land cruiser are good for africa and easy to sell, but because they are also expencive I wondered if some other types would also be good.
I already saw a Mitsubishi 4x4 for sale, would this be a good one?
Does also somebody has any advice where to sell it?

Hi Nele,

Pajero's will work. Also, some street cars are fine (something like a toyota corolla or opel astra).

In the 2-4000€ range, you'll find old nissan patrols, pajero's, discoveries, range rovers, Dahiatsu rocky and lada niva's. The nissan and pajero will be the more popular model.

Once in Togo you can talk to a French guy there by the name of Tony. He is the owner of the KTM agency and has always been very helpfull. He will point you in the right direction when you are ready to sell your car. His business is on the road that runs along the beach front.

You will also easaly sell Toyota and Ford 4x4 double cab pickups in Togo.
