Shipping SA to UK

I've looked all over the Hubb and planning sections and not found any info so I offer no apologies for raising here:

I'm looking for any reputable contacts able to ship (preferably by air) a couple of bikes to the UK from Cape Town, South Africa.

Thanks in advance
Boomer

I just flew my TTR from Cape Town back to Frankfurt a few weeks ago. I used Bradley from IMA (or is it MMA Menzies?, I never quite got that). He'd been recommended by other HUBBers before and from what I found out he really is the cheapest option. I called up a couple more freight agents but their quotes were considerably higher. I also contacted Virgin Atlantic Cargo, but they don't seem to work with private individuals any more.

I ended paying 8500 Rand for everything, although I had expected it to be around 6000. Maybe you could push him a little harder and get a better quote. My bike weighed 165kg wet, but with the metal crate and all it was 200kg in the end. Volumetric weight worked out to be around 200kg as well.

Go there at least a week before you want the bike to leave and arrange things, then drop off the bike a few days before departure, have the carnet stamped at customs (200 meters from his office, first time anybody actually checked the engine number btw.), disassemble the bike and crate it, pay (cash or credit card w/ 3.5% surcharge), get your Airway Bill and that's all. The crating guy even drove me back to the city.
I only had to pay around €20 for handling in Frankfurt, but London is different.

Bradley's number is 0027842092586
GPS coordinates are -33 57.662, 18 35.657 (new address!, right at the airport cargo center)

Tell them the German guy said hi :-)

I can recommend his services. It was a little more expensive than I had thought it would be, and the plane (British Airways via London) was a day late, but it all worked out in the end.
