That's contrary to our experience. They always stamp it for us and we've never had to get a Laissez Passez. Though S Leone is not listed as one of the countries on the back they have never caused a fuss for us.

Nigeria and Ghana have the same rule. RHD are banned but they allow tourists with a CDP to transit through. We have had so many arguments over the years with customs about it but they always back down.

The difference here is that the new law for S Leone says that RHD are banned from "importation AND operation" in the country, which is a clearly an issue.

We have spoken about this with the S Leone embassy in London and also the Minister for Trade who is currently in London. They seem receptive to what we have said (ie making exceptions for tourist vehicles with a CDP). We should know in the next 2 weeks.
