storing bike in kenya or tanzania
hi guys!
I'm an Italian biker and I'm traveling in Africa for stage! I started my trip in 2015 form Italy and now, after some stage, my motorbike is in South Africa. In my plan, i would like to move my bike in February / March 2018 from South Africa to Kenya or Tanzania, then park her there for a few months and and I will travel again in August. So…I search for a secure place to park my ktm for some months… (if is possible a coverage place)…someone can help me? Thanks bier fefo |
Jungle Junction in Nairobi, was there last year and they store numerous vehicles and can work on your bike.

+1 for jungle junction although there's also a KTM dealer in Nairobi

i think i've found one palce in Dar...but i see your web site and i I will try to visit your place fefo |
Fefo, what's the place you found in Dar - can you share? We're on the way up from Namibia on two bikes, currently in Lusaka Zambia. We'll need to store for a year in Malawi or Tanzania.
Do you know what the vehicle customs process is on the Tanzania border? For example Zambia registered the bikes in their customs database and only allows to stay for 1 month, after that they claim big penalties if you overstay. We had no issues storing in Gabon and Nambia, but wondering what the situation is in Malawi/Tanzania. Sent from my BTV-W09 using Tapatalk |
Hi Kristox, I found the place in a home of a friend..i can ask him if he have other possibility.
I don't know the process at the border; the only information is that they give a permit for three months. I will need to leave the bike for 6 months...i hope to try a solution in Tanziania! When you will arive in Tanzania? Quote:
