"TAR" Road from Mauritania to Mali
 

Hello Travellers. Is there anyone who can enlighten me about "TAR" road from Capital of Mauritania Nouakchott to Mali? If so, through which cities pass the road? And which is the border crossing point to Mali? on this road is there a safe possibility to camp or pas the night? Thanks .... :scooter:

Thanks for the tip. We are new on HU and learnig on the road how to gather informations.

Actually this is the right forum for that enquiry - Mori to Mali is sub Sahara, not North Africa.
Read some other posts here. It is certainly tar in Mori but I read here recently the road from Nioro to Bamako is in a very bad state.
In other words, do not assume because it is not piste it will be easy on the vehicles.

For camping, better to be next to a police compound 9they may insist) or in the bush and out of sight.

One option world be entering into Senegal. R roads are pretty ok most of the time.
