Visa for Sudan
 

Hi, I cannot find any recent information with regard to getting a visa in Addis Ababa to enter Sudan.
I have been to the embassy and they say they need a letter from a resident or from a hotel sent to the Ministry in Khartoum. I have tried one hotel and they state that as a condition I must use their hotel the whole time I am in Sudan. Since I am entering from Ethiopia and hoping to leave through Saudi Arabia this will be impossible.
Can any one give some advice.

Does the letter needs to be sent to the ministry in Khartoum? can't you have it sent to you so you print it out and hand it to them?

They decide if you get a visa or not.

Are these new regulations? The Sudanese visa used to be so easy to obtain in Addis Abeba in the past ...

Is this letter necessary for the 15 days transit visa as well or for the one month visa only? Thanks for any info

I tried to get the 15 day transit visa using a hotel confirmation sent to me. All the paperwork was accepted until it was taken to the office. At that point the boss came out and advised that unless we have a visa for Saudi Arabia, our next country, we could not have the visa. Now going to the Saudi Embassy in Addis tomorrow.
