Visas: mali to Ivory Coast and Ivory Coast for Ghana. Is it possible?
Looking at option to avoid Burkina Faso. Is it possible to get the Ivory Coast visa in Mali, then once in Ivory Coast get one for Ghana?
Tried searching on the Hubb, apolagies if the information is already up there! Thanks, Jimmy |
Just trying to sort this out for someone else asking and getting a contact at the Embassy in Bamako.
Normally it's no problem & Bamako is on the snedai.ci site as a location, but you'll need a letter of invitation and all the paraphernalia from the website to complete the process. |
Update:
As of a few hours ago a friend in Bamako went to the Ivorian embassy on my behalf to help a group of people aiming to get their visas there who are travelling up from Liberia. It's not looking possible. So currently the situation is: Liberia & Guinea to Cote d'Ivoire - BORDER CLOSED Liberia & Mali - VISAS for CI not possible May have more news on Monday about this, hoping to change their minds in Bamako with some influence! |
Mali - Ivory Coast definitely possible. No problem but 100 euro (seriously).
To get Ghanian visa in Bamako - depends on a luck. I know at least one guy who made it. They pretend that it is not possible and that you need Malian residency but after some arguing like "okay, I will wait here for some changes" they gave up and finally put visa in a passport. |

Ghana and Ivory Coast visa
Not sure where you are but: I got my Ghana visa in Rabat, 50€ and "takes 10 days". Slipped 20€ and got it in 24hr. Getting my Ivory Coast visa in Dakar and can pick it up tomorrow so one day. He said it normally takes 3 days. Cost 50€. No invitation needed.
