A round of applause for my girl
I've just finished an 11,500 mile ride around Southern South America on my Wee strom, and I just want to give her the round of applause she most definitely deserves. I am filled with utter admiration for Mr. Suzuki-san and his product. The girl did not miss a single heartbeat in what was a technically flawless ride. Yes, she's a little heavy on the gravel and she needs new oil every 3,500 miles. And if we're completely open, starting first thing in the cold AM at 4,000m above sea level with 84 octane fuel (when Mr Suzuki-San says 91 minimum) means you have to coax her into running with the throttle for the first 30s - but let's be realistic here.
This is still an Engineering work of art. Hour after hour of cruising with each cylinder firing just over 40 times a second - my head spins at the precision, tolerances and the amount of testing that must have gone to produce this marvel. And not a single thing wrong! I am in awe - thank you Mr. Suzuki San! http://sginsa.files.wordpress.com/20...pg?w=640&h=426 |
mmmmmmmmmm
Oh great ...... just the thing I like to read. I got one too - waiting for the first trip to come round. Even less "not worried" about the Wee now

One of the good thing with the DL is that they are boringly reliable :thumbup1: so no talk about repairs on the road , start ride stop refuel and start again .....
Congratulation on your trip |
