dr650 kick back issue
I have a early "99 dr650(23,xxx miles/new top end at 17xxx had to replace base gasket and found that a couple valves where bent also) that kicks back on shutdown.According to what I have read this model year is the only one with this issue.Anybody out there know a little about this .I want to ride it to TDF and avoid purchasing a newer dr. At this point(being this has been kickin back since I bought it w/1000mi on it) would it be a good idea to install a torque limiter to prevent this and it still be worthy to ride to TDF?It runs great and I like it.I 'm ready to put some $ into it before the trip ,just wondering about damage that may have occurred.thanks Happy trails :scooter:

See this item here from Keintech in USA, may be a bit late if you've already had engine damage, fit one of these ASAP and strip the engine down and make sure you don't have any more damage. If you are based in Europe there will be a Suzuki part number, might be cheaper than ordering from the USA You can find more info on www.DRRiders.com |
