Water Cooled Suzuki DR 650 SE
:helpsmilie: Hi, Folks.
I see where a guy is selling a 2001 water cooled Suzuki DR 650. I'm looking for a bike, and since I know very little about them, I thought I'd ask if any of you were familiar with this beastie. Specifically, is it worth having, assuming everything else is ok? Feedback would be appreciated! |

It could be that he's seen an oil cooler and assumed the bike must be watercooled as it has a "radiator"? You only have to see some of the mis-represented bikes on Ebay to realise that many owners have zero knowledge of their bikes. |
watercooled DR650's
Agree. Water cooling of DR650's only happens during occasional river crossings. Besides that it's a combination of air cooling for the barrel and oil cooling for the cylinder head.
Make sure it's really a 2001 DR650SE and buy. Fantastic bike. I love them best amongst my fleet of bikes and they are very tough and reliable. |
