Windscreen and cam chain adjuster for DRZ400 Suzuki

Hi Everyone,
I have never been on one of these sights before so not sure if I am on the right place on this website but could anyone tell me where I might be able to source a decent sized screen for a 2003 drz400.
Also I've heard talk of something called a manual cam chain adjuster should be fitted? Any advice on this and where I might get one if deemed necessary?
Thanks in advance
Dave

Hi Smudger, where abouts are you located? If you are in Australia a company called Eagle Screens in Perth does a pretty decent sized screen for a DRZ. My son put one on his 2000 model and it is going well for him.

As for the manual cam chain tensioner, his bike has done over 20,000 km and there doesn't seem to be any sign of trouble with it. Do a Google search on it and there will be a heap of advice out there then its just a matter of trying to locate one. It might be easier to just get a new auto one from a Suzuki dealer, it all depends on the year model of your bike, apparently they fixed the issue on later models.
Cheers

I managed to prematurely kill a cam chain with a manual adjuster so I would recommend fitting the later auto one. My old "E" now has many tens of thousands of miles on it. I think 2003 onwards is the new type. it's black as opposed to silver.

Hi
Unfortunately I live in the UK, but thanks anyway.
And for the advice on the tensioner,
Dave

You can get a manual cam chain adjuster off ebay in the uk , I fitted one to my 2004 drz400e as my auto one packed up . also have you re rutted the top two breather pipes from the carb on your E ? if not get some long breather tube and bring them up round the headstock . she'll run in alot deeper water like that .

DRZ Manual Cam Chain adjuster

Hi
Hey thanks for the e bay tip. Is it easy to fit or do you need a proper mechanic to do it? Once fitted is it easy to adjust?
I don't suppose you have any tips on how to make the seat more comfy. I've just come back from a 4 day camping epedition and after about 60 - 70miles numb bum and aching thigh syndrome sets in, becomes like riding on a razor blade!!
Thanks again
Dave
