Catalytic converter for south american fuel?
 

Hi all. I'm planning a south america trip on a ktm 890 adventure and trying to decide whether to remove the catalytic converter. Does anyone have any experience with cats and south american fuel??

The catalytic converter is to help protect the environment - please don't remove it.

We've driven extensively throughout all of South America except "the Guianas" over the last 23 years with catalytic converters in our vehicles and have had no problems. Fuel in Venezuela is poor but has not resulted in problems.
