So they just pop off right?
Happy sunday morning people. Got a quickie here for ya. Thinking about dropping my handlebars a little bit and just wanted to check that the accelerator/front brake/ignition housing on the right and the clutch lever/indicator/light switch housing on the left just pop off? and i can just twist them round? The answer may seem obvious with a quick observation but I had bad times when tinkering with my Vespa's handlebar layout and just wanted to make sure like.
:mchappy: cheers guys |
They should just rotate when you slacken them off.
Some roadbikes however, have a hole in the handlebar and a pimple on the switchgear/throttle to stop it rotating. When I changed the bars on mine, I just filed off the pimple and have had no probs in 8 years. On off-road bikes, most of us leave all the bar furniture(for want of a better word) loose enough to move if you throw the bike down. |
This is on your Cross City right? Should just be able to pop them off, but I always work on the principle if it doesn't pop off with finger pressure it's not meant to pop off.
Hope you manage with no breakages. |
