I once asked for a resupply of jelonet, which is a paraffin impregnated gauze wound dressing.

What I got, was a ball of string!!

I followed the chain back through. Apparently, in the military it's called paranet, not Jelonet, so the medic radio operator ordered paranet. The stores radop wasn't medical and didn't know what paranet was, so ordered paracord (a type of green nylon cord) but they didn't have that, so they sent me a ball of string instead!

send 2 and 6!!

AH HA... At last some abbreviarions I do recognise :D

No BFA used on my old L118 though!... Mmmm the smell of cordite is as unforgetable as the smell of a 2 stroker.... and the sight of an Armstrong :mchappy: flying past us on recon always made me jealous... (brings back memories)
